antique amber bottle

I saw a beautiful antique amber bottle lost month, and now I’m curious about how they amber color is achieved. Any one know? I almost bought the antique amber bottle (no markings) just for its lovely color. Anyone one know what causes the amber color? Know where to buy antique amber bottles (other than eBay?)
